Here is how you are helping us make a big impact.
In Vanuatu 75% of the population live in rural areas and mostly live off the land. Because of this there are few employment opportunities, particularly for women who often have little education.
Through the handicraft industry women can earn an income and gain education in business skills and product development.
Women are disadvantaged in Vanuatu and need to be empowered, educated and supported. By selling their products and valuing their work we are helping to further the women of Vanuatu.
Thank you for supporting the women in Vanuatu.
Many of the women who make our products have little education and therefore do not always understand the value of their products. In the past this has led to the women selling them at such a low price they are unable to earn a sustainable income.
We feel it is very important that everyone in the supply chain gets a fair share in the profits. This means we ensure the producers and our partner wholesalers are all paid a fair price for their work.
Thank you for supporting ethical fashion.
Our products are made from either natural fibers or recycled materials.
Natural materials are sustainably grown and processed by the producers. Once your item has come to the end of its life you can compost it and buy a new one!
Waste management is a big issue for Vanuatu due its small and spread out population. Waste is often burnt, buried or dumped in waterways - all of which is damaging to the environment and peoples health. By reusing these materials to create something new you are stopping this waste from damaging the environment.
Thank you for helping us care for the environment.
